Lest We Drift
Hebrews 2:1: "Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away." The King James readins is, "lest we let them slip." Thayer's Greek Dictionary says this last phrase means "to glive by: lest we be carried by, pass by." There are dire consequences of failing to earnestly heed the things we have learned in Scripture and its presentation of the gospel. We dare not allow ourselves to drift from the safety that is in Christ. We invite you to listen to some recently posted sermons that consider these dangers.
